I’m Talking About my Wedding Shoes
To complete the wedding ensemble, the shoes have to be well-chosen to match the casual wedding dresses of the bride and the bridesmaids. The shoes not only give height to the lady of the day but it also makes her feel more beautiful and gives her the feel of being regal. It has to be chosen with utmost care and attention since the bridal gown will only be worn once.
There are many different styles of shoes available everywhere. Different shapes, sizes, and heights adorn malls and stores. This is enough to drive the bride crazy over which pair will best suit her gown.
What are the considerations to be made when choosing the bridal shoes? Are there strict rules to the perfect pair to use? Let us try to point the tips in getting that perfect choice.
- The first consideration that brides have to take in choosing her shoes is comfort. Even if the shoes are the most expensive, most extravagant, most unique, and most colorful, they cannot make up for the calluses that will be formed in the bride’s feet. This still excludes the excruciating pain she will feel while wearing them the whole day. How can she walk her best during the only time she will get married if her feet are swelling and aching?

The size of the shoes should fit the bride and the bridesmaids perfectly. The red carpet in the aisle will make walking more slippery and wearing badly fitting shoes will even make walking difficult.
Should there be stones embellished in the shoes, the ladies have to make sure that these don’t get in the way of wearing them. There are those embellishments that press against the skin and cause wounds.
- There are closed shoes, slip-on sandals, strappy sandals, and even peep-toe heels. Depending on the style of the casual wedding dresses, any of the four may be worn. But for tea and knee-length dresses, the open-toe and strappy sandals are the most attractive. Only, the bride has to make sure that her toenails have been pampered.

Angle-length dresses really do not require any particular style of shoes.
- Brides are advised to wear high heels to allow her to have a more graceful walk (provided her shoes are a perfect fit). Women tend to walk more regally if she is wearing stilettos. Wedge heels are not recommended, however, for weddings.
- The bride must make sure that the color of the shoes matches the shade of the casual wedding dresses. And as soon as she makes a decision, she has to practice walking around with it to make her get a feel of the shoes. Doing so will prevent her from getting calluses and other scratches on her feet.
Shoes are also among the collections of a woman. So choosing it would not seem very difficult. Every bride must remember that choosing a pair of it should be given the same amount of attention as she would her dresses.
